1915

Albert "Abby" Film worked at the Union Pacific Coal Company Store in Hanna. He worked in the original store, which was moved from Carbon to Hanna. At the same time, Albert's older brother George Film was the Union Pacific Coal Company's Hanna Materials Clerk from about 1910 to 1915.

Feature Type: City/Town, Post Office, Railroad Siding/Station History: Medicine Bow Post Office was established on January 4, 1869 in Laramie County prior to the formation of Carbon County. J. N. Moses was the postmaster. (Wyoming Post Offices) The people of Medicine Bow voted for incorporation of the town on June 26, 1909. (Carbon County Journal July 17, 1909, page 4) Postoffice and incorporated town on the Union Pacific Railroad in Carbon County. This is me and Sheriff Ogee out hunting some lost horses. Campell is taking the picture. We are about 12 miles from Hanna on the Wagon Hound Ridge south of town - Abbie.

Sister Olive. I don't know whether you have one of these or not, but it is Elk Mt. 11,889 ft. high about the sea level. I took this out at a ranch near there. Snow up there all year round - Abbie.
