Albert Film - Hanna Basin Adventurer

Albert "Abby" Film worked at the Union Pacific Coal Company Store in Hanna. He worked in the original store, which was moved from Carbon to Hanna. At the same time, Albert's older brother George Film was the Union Pacific Coal Company's Hanna Materials Clerk from about 1910 to 1915.

History: Leo Post Office was established on December 13, 1883 with Volney M. Street as postmaster. It was discontinued on October 15, 1952 after which its mail was handled by the Hanna Post Office. (Wyoming Post Offices) Small town and postoffice in Carbon County, 42 miles north from Hanna, the nearest railroad point. Stockraising the leading industry. Feature Type: City/Town, Post Office, Railroad Siding/Station History: Medicine Bow Post Office was established on January 4, 1869 in Laramie County prior to the formation of Carbon County. J. N. Moses was the postmaster. (Wyoming Post Offices) The people of Medicine Bow voted for incorporation of the town on June 26, 1909. (Carbon County Journal July 17, 1909, page 4) Postoffice and incorporated town on the Union Pacific Railroad in Carbon County. Hanna's South Country, and Elk Mountain, Wyoming
Picture #7 website note: Milo is located near Elk Mountain in Carbon County. Elevation: 7546 ft. Another name for Milo was Widdowfield. The Milo Post Office was established as the Widdowfield Post Office on June 15, 1895. Its name was changed to Milo Post Office on March 15, 1909. It was discontinued on February 15, 1922 after which the mail was handled by Elk Mountain Post Office. (Wyoming Post Offices)
