Hanna Notes

The Fourth of July was celebrated in great style in Hanna, beginning Sunday morning, with the unveiling of the soldiers' monument, which was a very solemn service. Mr. A. D. Burford made the presentation for the people of Hanna, while F. D. Erb responded for the soldiers and sailors. Immediately after the unveiling the band struck up the "Star-Spangled Banner." The ex-service men all wore uniforms and made a splendid showing. There were foot races, donkey races, horse races and fat men's races, and every one had a good time.
