The Wyoming and West Virginia Incorporated Coal Company moved into Hanna in 1990. The company opened the Sky No. 1 Punch Mine, which produced coal in 1990 and 1991.  The mine produced a total of 348,724 tons of coal with a workforce of 10 employees. No deaths were reported for the mine.
