Note: The death of Mrs. Oscar Annala on June 30th was a shock to the community. She had just returned from a vacation in Washington State when she suffered a heart attack and died very suddenly.
Susanna Ekola was born in Finland, July 11, 1881. She came to America with her parents when 12 years old to Carbon, Wyoming, later moving to Diamondville, where she was married to Oscar Annala in 1898. They again moved to Carbon, coming thence to Hanna, in May 1905. The deceased was a member of the Moose and Eagles Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held in the Finn Hall on July 3rd. Interment was made in Hanna cemetery.
The deceased leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three daughters, Miss Lempi Annala, of Hanna, Mrs. Wm. Johnson, of Rawlins, Mrs. Palasen, of Utah, one son, John Annala, of Washington, three sisters, Mrs. Jack Swann, Mrs. Lillie Wist, and Mrs. John Huhtala, two brothers, Arthur and Matt Ekola, all of Hanna, and three grandchildren, as well as numerous friends.
