Thomas Hensley, U.S. Army, World War II
Thomas Hemsley, a former employee of the Coal Company at Hanna, entered the service June 10, 1942. Thomas took his basic training at Camp Rucker, Alabama, being stationed at a number of other camps until he was shipped overseas July 3, 1944, to Guadalcanal. Thomas also saw action in the Palau and Philippine Island campaigns. He received his discharge at Fort Douglas, Utah, July 29, 1945, and is now employed as weighman at the tipple in Hanna.
