C. F. JOHNSON
He is a native of Sweden, but has resided in America for twenty years. He came to Carbon in 1872 and after a stay of six years, went away. He returned during 1883 and opened a general merchandise store in a building erected by himself, where he has a thriving trade. Mr. Johnson is an enthusiastic numismatist and has one of the finest collections of coins and medals in Wyoming, which he is always very willing to show to anyone interested in such matters. Mr. Johnson’s success illustrates what pluck and perseverance can accomplish when united with business ability and good sense. (Wyoming and Its Future, Laramie Territory, 1887 Holiday Edition)
