The Museum of the Mountain Man is located in Pinedale, Wyoming. It is a world class museum dedicated to the history of the Rocky Mountain fur trade. The museum is the home of the famous Jim Bridger's rifle. There is a modest entry fee. Pictures are allowed.
Jim Bridger's Rifle

In 1853, Louis Vasquez, a good friend and business partner of jim Bridger, had this rifle engraved
"J. Bridger 1853," and presented it to Bridger for reasons still unknown.
At 11 pounds and 49 ½ inch long, this half-stock percussion plains rifle has a walnut stock,
pewter fore-end cap, brass trim, plains style trigger guard,
H. T. Cooper back-action lock, and a hickory ramrod. (Museum of the Mountain Man)
