Union Pacific steam engine 5049 (Daryl Billings)
Union Pacific steam engine 5049 ran through Hanna. The number refers to a "Class TTT-6" 2-10-2 type steam locomotive, originally part of a group of 50 locomotives built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Union Pacific. They had road numbers ranging from 5040 to 5049. They were known for their powerful design and were used for heavy freight hauling on the railroad.
