Life Story
1902 June 3: Jannette Raite was born in Hanna, Wyoming to John "Jack" and Mary Ann (While) Raite.
1903 May 21: Paul Raymond Ross was born in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.
1903 June 30: The Union Pacific Coal Company's No. 1 Mine in Hanna exploded killing 169 men including Jannette's father, Jack Raite.
1903 August 8: The Coroner's Inquest was published for the Union Pacific Coal Company's June 30, 1903 explosion of Hanna Mine No. 1, which killed 169 men. The report consisted of questions and answers from the miners that survived the explosion.
1905 May 31: Approximately 2 years after the death of John "Jack" Raite, Mary Ann (While) (Raite) married Edward Kuhns in Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
1922 December 29: Jeannette Raite age 20 and Paul Ross age 19 married in Pennsylvania.
1930: Paul Ross, working as a Car Inspector for a railroad and Jannette Ross, born in Wyoming, a house wife were living in Freeport, Armstrong, Pennsylvania. Living with them were two sons William E. Ross, age 5 and Jack S. Ross, age 1.
1980 November 28: Paul died at age 77 and was buried in the Freeport, Pennsylvania cemetery.
1976 February 7: Jeannette (Raite) Ross died at the age of 73 in Pennsylvania and was buried in Freeport, Pennsylvania.
William and Jannette had five children together:
- William Edward Ross (1924 - 1987)
- Paul Raymond Ross Jr. (1925 - 1925)
- Jack Samuel Ross (1928 - 1944)
- Eugene Albert Ross (1931 - 2007)
