​Cpl. Nick Varvandakis, stationed in India for the past year, awarded to Tojo a surprise package from Hanna High School. Cpl. Varvandakis is a member of the famed 20th Air Force; he is shown beneath a B-29, one of the 20th’s planes. Old Timer and Mrs. Tony Varvandakis, of Hanna, are his parents. (UPCCEM, May 1945)
