1890 January 7: John Alexander Huhtala was born to Matt and Ida Huntala in Hanna, Wyoming. He died February 12, 1948 at the age of 58 in Hanna, Wyoming of a Cerebral Hemorrhage. He was employed by the Union Pacific Coal Company as a Machinist. He was married at the time of his death to Ida Wilhelmia (Ekola) Huhtala.

Note: Long-Time Hanna Resident Dies Suddenly. John A. Huhtala, 58, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home in Hanna at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, five hours after suffering a stroke. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist church in Hanna and burial will be in Hanna cemetery. The Rev. James Else will officiate and a Masonic service also will be conducted. The Peterson mortuary of Hanna is in charge of arrangements. Huhtala had been a machinist for the Union Pacific Coal company.
