Note: Tauno Jussila served as a gunner in the United States Navy for over three years. He served in the Armed Guard transporting supplies to both European and Pacific Theaters. Tauno took part in campaigns in the Phillipines, New Hebrides, New Caledonia, and the Solomons, and visited many other places in the Atlantic and Pacific, the Aleutian Islands and India. He was discharged from the United States Navy on December 2, 1945, at Bremerton, Washington. (UPCCEM, June 1946)
