Image and information about the Lee family from Sarah Pope - her great grandfather Joseph Lee aka Joseph Holvison was a long-time resident of Hanna. His wife was Elizabeth (Jackson) Lee Holvison died in 1911 and is buried in the Hanna cemetery in plot 88. Being a bachelor, he would set the bread for the day, go to his job in the mine, come home after the shift and bake bread.

Note: The Hanna community lost another of its Old Timers when Joseph Lee died at the home of his son, Richard Lee, on Sunday, January 23rd, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted at the Episcopal Church, with the Rev. H. Heard officiating. Interment was made in the Hanna Cemetery. Mr. Lee was born in England on September 1st, 1863. He came to this country in 1900 and worked in Carbon for about two years. He then came to Hanna, where he lived until his death. Until his retirement in August 1931, he was employed by the Company as a car repairer. Mrs. Lee preceded him in death by thirty years. He is survived by one brother, Robert Lee, of Salt Lake City, who attended the funeral: three daughters, Mrs. Sarah McAllister, of Carlsbad, N.M., who was also at the funeral, Mrs. Hannah Dickinson and Mrs. Bella Reel, both of Hanna; three sons, John, Richard and Mark, all of Hanna; and eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One grandson, Lt. John Lee is serving in the Armed Forces in Africa. (UPCCEM, March 1944)
