Note: Andrew Pasanen died at Rochester, Minnesota, on January 21st. He was an employee for many years at our Hanna mines. Mr. Pasanen was a native of Finland, born at Tyrnaria on July 17, 1884. With his wife, he reached the United States in 1901. He was first employed by the Company at Rock Springs, Mine No. 4, in 1901, he moved to Cumberland for a period, then transferred to Hanna April 14th, 1917, in Mine No. 4, where he remained up to the time of his passing. He leaves a wife and three daughters, to whom the heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended. He was member of the Old Timers’ Association. The body was brought to Hanna, and interred in the cemetery on January 24th, funeral services having been held at the Finn Hall in charge of Mrs. John Wasinen. (UPCCEM, March 1938)
