Note: The passing of Mrs. Elisabeth Sundquist of Hanna on Wednesday, May 8th, left a vacancy in the hearts of her many friends. Taken sick on Saturday, May 4th, with a heart attack, she steadily grew weaker until she quietly passed away. Mrs. Sundquist, who was a resident of Hanna for 42 years, was born in Woro, Finland, in December, 1851, being 83 years and four months old at the time of her death. She was the mother of four children, of which only one survives, (Mrs. Matt Wakkuri of Hanna). Two children, a son and daughter, died in infancy in Finland and one son, Martin passed away in Hanna 18 years ago. Mrs. Sundquist was very active all her life and up until her illness on May 4th was able to do her own house work and care for herself. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Mrs. Matt Wakkuri of Hanna; and four grandchildren of Butte, Montana. Funeral services were held on May 12th at the Methodist Church with Rev. A.D. Wilson officiating, interment in Hanna cemetery. (UPCCEM, June 1935)
